The La Biosthétique beauty experts are creating the key looks for Fashion Week Berlin

Pulsating fashion, densely packed audiences and pure aesthetics in hair and make-up. For the third time in a row, La Biosthétique was involved as beauty expert at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Berlin. In the E-Werk, the official location of MBFW, the team of Alexander Dinter and Steffen Zoll created fabulous hair and make-up concepts for the autumn/winter collections 2019/2020 of the top designers. Our beauty experts collaborated to support the shows and parades of 15 designers over just three days. We took care not only of the catwalk models, but also of the designers’ star guests: the celebs and the biggest influencers who watched the capital’s latest fashion trends from the coveted front-row seats. In this role, supermodel Lorena Rae, actress Esther Schweins and influencers such as Alexandra Lapp, Nina Suess, Laura Noltemayer (@designdschungel), Netti Weber and Viktoria Rader (Glamometer) plus Marie von den Benken trusted our beauty experts to make them look simply stunning.

Individual hair and make-up looks complete the designer’s concept

Industry experts, buyers and fashion aficionados watched the latest trends for the coming autumn and winter in the city on the river Spree. Of course, these trends included not only the fashion, but also the hairstyling and make-up concepts developed by us. Alexander Dinter and Steffen Zoll produced exclusive harmoniously matching hair and beauty looks for the designers Bogner, Amesh Wijesekera, Irene Luft, Maisonnoée Berlin, Sportalm Kitzbühel, Ivanman, Rebekka Ruétz, Lena Hoschek, Riani, Danny Reinke, Neonyt, Richert Beil, Marc Cain and Lana Mueller, which their team then applied to 300 models at up to seven shows a day.

Die Top-Looks der #MBFW Berlin AW 2019/20

Meet You at the Marc Cain Trainstation

The shows of the fashion label founded in 1973 in Bodelshausen traditionally rank among the highlights of Berlin Fashion Week. A reputation that Marc Cain has so far been able to confirm every year. This season, the company was faced with a special task. With her first collection, Katja Konradi, new Head Designer of Marc Cain, showed how elegant and travel-ready her fashion can be. In the Telekom capital headquarters, impressively converted into a new York train station, numerous celebrities watched the “Meet You At The Trainstation” presentation. Sarah Rafferty brought a hint of Hollywood to the Marc Cain station. Rafferty and her German celebrity colleagues such as Frauke Ludowig, Joy Denalane, Bettina Zimmermann, Frederick Lau and The Boss Hoss admired a collection that you might expect to find in a train station: young women in sportswear going jogging or modern business women just before their next meeting. Evening gowns for a visit to the opera also arrived in Berlin with the Marc Cain train, together with elegant leisure looks for a city-centre shopping trip.

Hair: «Naturally Different»

La Biosthétique contributed the matching hair and make-up looks for this urban hustle and bustle. Alexander Dinter explained that the hairstyling focus was on the diversity of a wide range of fashion styles: “From office to street style look to big evening glamour. Our biggest challenge was that each of the 43 models was given an individual style, which we were of course only able to achieve by the great variety of our entire La Biosthétique product range. The result: long hair with a centre parting, beautifully blow-dried bobs and ponytails, to list just a few examples. Conditioned, airy and above all natural, just like today’s modern women”.

Make-up: «Simply Individual»

Frizz Curls and fresh coolness at Sportalm Kitzbühel

Everyone who was able to experience the collection premiere of the Sportalm Kitzbühel fashion label was lucky. The enthusiastic audience celebrated an exquisite overall composition of fresh, trendy and sporty fashion and a wonderfully feminine hair and make-up concept by beauty expert La Biosthétique. The featured garments were exciting style mixes of short down jackets and checked trousers, colourful sweaters or hoodies, paired with coats and skirts. The hair and make-up looks, which Alexander Dinter and Steffen Zoll developed for the Sportalm Kitzbühel show, were resplendent with sporty and feminine elegance.

Hair: «Frizzy Spirit»

The hairstyling was purposely lively and feminine, and perfectly complemented the athleisure designs. In keeping with the creative motto “Frizzy Spirit”, the backstage team of Alexander Dinter styled trendy curls with a frizzy texture combined with very sleek roots for a fresh yet casual look. The long hair was wound on hair pins into loop-shaped sections, sprayed with the heat protection Curl Protect & Style and heated with straightening irons. The cooled hair was then combed out from bottom to top and, depending on the hair structure, shaped with Light Defining Cream or Powder Spray.

Make-up: «SpiceIceBaby»

Steffen Zoll's make-up continued the sporty liveliness of Alexander Dinter’s hair design. His “SpiceIceBaby” look concept featured fresh coolness. The make-up was based on a hydrated, healthy looking skin, which was first moisturised with La Capsule Hydratante and then enhanced with a thin layer of Teint Frais. The colour contrast of coolly emphasised cheeks and warmly accentuated lips created a “hot flash effect”. First, a brush was used to apply Sensual Lipstick Lovely Rose to the middle of the cheeks, and blended towards the inside of the cheeks with Sensual Lipstick Coral Red. The make-up team also produced a particularly lovely contrast for the eyes: Whilst the top and bottom lid were emphasised in the soft colours of the new Eyeshadow Pen Macadamia (available from March), the eyebrows were given a styling boost. They were given a wild and bushy shape, filled in with brush and eyeshadow and combed up with Volume Brown Mascara.

Easy Waves and ShePower at Lena Hoschek

A true audience favourite of #MBFW was once again the show of Lena Hoschek. The Austrian designer surprised and fascinated audiences with her masculine collection “Men at work”. Fashionable inspiration was gathered from cowboys, Clark Gable and Sherlock Holmes, and translated into sturdy fabrics such as corduroy or even denim, and given a sophisticated portion of sex appeal with Hoschek’s hourglass silhouette.

Hair: «Easy Waves»

Lead stylist Alexander Dinter's hair concept was richly faceted. Many models were given a very feminine, natural looking hairstyle as a contrast to the masculine influences of the garment fashions. For the voluminous, conditioned “easy waves”, depending on the structure, the hair was first blow-dried with a wrap dry technique or a round brush. The use of Volumising Lotion and Essence De Proteine created a perfect hair structure. Subsequently, large sections were shaped into soft curves in an alternating direction with large curling irons. For a rich and delicate shine Light Defining Cream and Glossing Spray were applied.

Make-up: «ShePower»

Steffen Zoll's wonderful make-up concept built a perfect bridge to the feminine side of the fashion. The focus of his “ShePower” creation was the epitome of flawless femininity: red lips! The overall look, on the other hand, stood out due to its softness, authenticity and an elegant satin feeling. Consequently, the healthy looking skin was first given a freshness boost with La Capsule Hydrante, and perfected by the local application of Teint Correcteur. The eye make-up was also rather reserved. Once the eyelids were mattified with Magnefix!, Tender Blush Peach was applied from the outside and shaded over large areas. A slight hint of Magic Shadow Cappuccino reduced the warmth of the shade. For fresh and happy brows and pure eyes, the brows were brushed upwards with Care & Fix Lash Conditioner, and no mascara was applied at all. For the fascinatingly sensuous lip make-up, True Color Lipstick Red was applied and repeatedly blotted in several layers and reapplied. Automatic Pencil For Lips Red magically created a perfect lip line.

Casual Attitude and DemonicAngel at Danny Reinke

The autumn/winter 2019/2020 prêt-à-couture collection “Seraphic Frame” by Danny Reinke was surprisingly and outstandingly different. The theme of his fashion range was the reinterpretation of woman as a goddess, designed to embody self-confidence and natural beauty. Opulent tulle and brocade dresses paired with tweed suits and virgin wool coats took pride of place on the catwalks. Soft colours in various shades of light blue predominated, in combination with white, a vanilla shade and metallic shades such as gold and silver. The hair and make-up concept by Alexander Dinter and Steffen Zoll featured influences of pure elegance, casual and avant-garde.

Hair: «Casual Attitude»

Alexander Dinter chose enhanced naturalness for the “Casual Attitude” style,. First, Beauté Essence De Proteine was applied to the hair, and the lengths and tips were conditioned with Cheveux Longs Luxury Spa Oil. Subsequently, the hair was blow-dried without a parting with a round brush or a Styling Brush, and then twisted in thick sections on to large curling irons. The soft movement in the hair was supported by Light Defining Cream.

Make-up: «DemonicAngel»

With the make-up Steffen Zoll also successfully created the perfect symbiosis of futuristic design and sculptural delicacy. His “DemonicAngel” look completely emphasised the haute couture touch of Danny Reinke’s collection. The focus of the make-up was a metallic composition of bronze, silver and gold shades on the eyes. With a moist brush, Steffen and his team first generously applied Magic Shadow Crystal Gold to the whole top lid and the edge of the bottom lid. The middle of the eyelid was hydrated with Glamour Kit Silver Cream and dusted with Magic Shadow Highlight. Now the eye was framed with Magic Shadow Cappuccino, which was feathered up and down. The darkest shade of the Magic Shadow Trio Smoky Rocks was used to specifically emphasise the centre of the shading. The lashes were given a metallic finish with Glamour Kit Silver Cream. The cheeks, on the other hand, were given a touch of rococo style: in the middle of the cheeks, Tender Blush Passion Rose magically created an elegant accent. The lip make-up was also strikingly subtle: First, the red of the lips was reduced with Teint Correcteur, then a light touch of Sensual Lipstick Sandy Rose added a delicate dab of colour.
