A hint of Hollywood

Saturday, 2 March 2019. The impressive building of the University of Paris Descartes in the Quartier Latin is where France's best doctors are trained. Today, however, its focus is on “Vicious Circle”, the new Fall/Winter 2019/2020 collection by the Munich fashion house Talbot Runhof. Johnny Talbot and Adrian Runhof are regarded as the advocates of women's fashion that is modern and elegant yet strong and impressive, a style that has long since been adored by international celebrities from Hollywood to Berlin. It’s hardly surprising therefore

to see well-known influencers, actors, celebrities and the heavyweights of fashion journalism congregating in the famous front row of the fashion show this evening at Rue de l'Ecole de Médicine on Rive Gauche for the premiere of the opulent and distinguished garments in the new Talbot Runhof collection.

They weren’t disappointed. The nostalgic setting for the new Talbot Runhof collection hinted at the American arts and culture scene of the 1930s and 1940s, without coming across as elitist. This was also reflected by the accompanying music which featured long forgotten, soothing sounds from the Golden Age of Hollywood with its glorious movie palaces and many classic movies. The evening's spirit of “Vicious Circle” was perfectly

emphasised by Alexander Dinter and his exclusive team of La Biosthétique beauty experts from partner salons in Germany, France, Canada and Italy who created an individual hair look to give the models an overall style that blended harmoniously with the collection.

Step-by-step tutorial for the Talbot Runhof “Vicious Circle” hair look

Step 1

Apply Essence de Protein directly to dry hair.

Step 2

Apply three drops of Luxury Spa Oil to the tips.

Step 3

Section off the hair and then blow-dry it. Spray on Volumising Lotion.

Step 4

Blow-dry the sides backwards with the Styling Brush.

Step 5

Curl the ends with a round brush.

Step 6

Make a centre parting.

Step 7

Use a comb to work in Fixateur Mousse at the sides.

La Biosthétique International Creative Director Alexander Dinter explains the motto behind this look: “This wonderfully opulent collection was created with things like oversized bows, so of course the hair has to take a bit of a back seat. That’s why we deliberately opted for lovely blow-dried hair with a brushing effect instead of going for a wet look”.
